Bi Humbug and Gay bless us… everyone!
Have you ever felt like a big old Scrooge? Fear not! You've just received your invitation to the Marley and Marley cabaret bar. The Marleys (Performed by Alphabetti’s resident goofs, Mack and Mama Rhi) will be your hosts and guides through past, present and future to help you find your festive joy again.
You can expect…, nostalgic throwbacks, a queer chaotic present, and who the heck knows what the future holds?
This Christmas, Alphabetti stalwarts Mack & Mama Rhi are working with Artistic Director Ed Cole on their first ever week-long production, and Ed’s directorial debut at Betti; A Queermas Carol (The Gayest Ghost Story Ever Told).
Following on from last year’s huge success with Patti Boo-Rae’s Little Miss Christmas, Alphabetti are cementing their place in Newcastle’s festive line up as a welcoming, warm and wonderful alternative to panto. The show will be a co-creation by Mack, Rhi and Alphabetti, with a different guest artist each night taking on the role of The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come...
As ever with Mack & Rhi productions, although the show will be inspired by Dickens’ Christmas Classic, you can expect this to be a version of the story unlike any you’ve ever seen.
