J P Worsfold brings his mesmerising folk pop sounds back to Newcastle

J P Worsfold is a writer of emotional contemplative contemporary folk songs that speak of connection, joy and belonging. With a subtle blend of rich vocal harmony, sweeping string arrangements alongside heartfelt piano and guitar. They are songs to evoke life’s deeper meaning and to inspire connection within ourselves and the natural space around us. J P and his Band of Gold recreate three albums of original material, with spellbinding songs and performances that leave audiences feeling genuinely moved by a truly magical event.

Throughout his career J P has shared stages with Niall McCabe, Adam Holmes, Frankie Archer and Ben Ottewell. He has self-released three albums and has written music for successful theatre productions such as, The Singing Bones. Touring regularly, he has performed at festivals all over the UK, including Green Gathering, Solfest, Eskfest and Musicport Whitby to name but a few.

"A bittersweet slow-pooling melancholy that echoes with and in our current time." - Robert Macfarlane - Award Winning Author of The Lost Words

With support from:

Dean Parker

Dean Parker is a guitar player, singer, songwriter and producer who is finally finding his own mercurial voice as the alt-rock raconteur. Born and raised in North-East England, he’s been beneficially brainwashed by the likes of Jason Isbell, Jeff Buckley and Jackson Browne while making sure to come into the fold with his own sensibility and stubbornness.

Marina Josephina

Hailing from Stockton-on-Tees, Marina Josephina is carving out her space in the UK music scene with a sound that’s both timeless and unmistakably fresh. Blending the rich textures of soul, jazz, and R&B with heartfelt storytelling and powerhouse vocals, her music resonates across generations.

Recognised as a BBC Introducing North East One to Watch 2025, Marina’s songs explore themes of female empowerment, mental health, love, and loss, delivering emotional depth wrapped in captivating melodies and unexpected rhythmic turns. Her songwriting is impassioned, relatable, and undeniably soulful.
