A tale of love and murder, of running high-tail from the law and dancing with the devil. It is a tale of whisky and one man’s journey to find it. But let us warn you, all you whisky lovers out there that if you ramble down that crooked and peaty road, whose pubs and inns are populated by shady characters with names and faces forever blurred by tomorrows hangover, if you set your foot to that wild beat, you will find yourself caught in a story not so different to ours! Welcome to If The River Was Whisky!
Holy Moly & The Crackers are a “gypsy folk and roll” band, based in the UK. They released their debut album “First Avenue” in October 2012 and an EP “Lilly” a year later. Tracks from their album and EP have been played by Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing and by leading music critic Mike Harding.
After only two years they are making an impact on both the local and national live music scene; they have played well over 200 shows throughout the UK, including sell out concerts in London, the Midlands, Yorkshire, Newcastle and Edinburgh. In October 2013 the band toured internationally in Europe. This summer the band perform at festivals across the country, including main stage shows at Galtres Festival and Cornbury Festival, where they opened for Jools Holland.
If the River Was Whisky has been supported by Alphabetti Theatre.
