Teeth In Eggcups
A quirky, ludicrous and honestly bizarre comedy sketch show described by the BBC as ‘#newmontypython’
After having a raucous 2014 touring all three of their hour long shows to festivals and fringe venues Teeth In Eggcups ended the year with a 250 person sell out show at The Stand comedy club in Newcastle upon Tyne. The troupe were hoping to close the year with a bang, which literally happened half way through the second half as a member of the audience actually fell off his chair from laughing too hard! Following this the group decided to take a few months off to allow their audience time to rest, recuperate and fix any ouchy boo-boo's they may have endured from watching their oddball sketch show.
However, beware as now they. Are. Back! Weirder, sillier and as energetic as ever before!
*Warning this performance may include Jesus, a singing fish, a tongue and banana.
A dash of comedy, a sumptuous smattering of original theatre, add some fresh slam poetry and finish off with a garnish of live music. There you have it, ALPHABETTI SOUP, damn tasty.
Acts to be announced soon but to get your taste buds tingling we can announce:
Poetry from the one and only ROWAN McCabe!
Music from the stupereffically splendid singer songwriter (how about that for some sibilance!) CHRIS Foley
Having done our month long poetry workshop Matt Cummins will be performing a 15 minutes of dark, carnal and sensual material.
More acts to be announced...
