Running Time: 2 hours
In this fun and energising workshop for beginners, Bev Fox will introduce you to some of the core concepts. You don’t need any experience in improv or acting, comedy or performance at all. You don’t need to be fast or funny. You just need to want to have fun! The session will be a mix of group games and pairs exercises, and if you’re little nervous to begin with – don’t worry. You’ll soon be laughing too much to notice.
Bev Fox is Co-director of Newcastle Improv Festival, The Suggestibles, and School of Improv. An improviser for 30 years, she teaches improvisation locally, across the UK and internationally. She is an inspirational teacher, and has taught thousands of people across ages and walks-of-life in the magic of improv.
From Tuesday 30th to Sunday 4th August, Alphabetti Theatre becomes Newcastle Improv Festival’s hub. Open from 11am to late-at-night, with 20+ improv shows, workshops and activities for kids and for grown-ups from a brilliant array of local and national artists.
