Recently returning from their debut in China at the Shanghai International Arts Festival, and with British, Irish and European tours, headline slots at prestigious venues like Sage Gateshead, and appearances at top U.K festivals including Kendal Calling and Hardwick Live under their belts, 2018 has been wild for the Newcastle five piece and things look set to continue that way. Infectious rhythms, soul bearing vocals and raw performances - unquestionably Alt/indie/folk at its most exciting. Come and see them round off the year beautifully here at Alphabetti.

"The kind of vocalist who knows how to hold your attention" (The Crack Magazine)

“A force to be reckoned with" Andy Keogh, (Cumberland and Westmoreland Herald)

IMOGEN BOSE-WARD TRIO
Emerging from the endlessly eclectic music scene in and around Newcastle, the Imogen Bose-Ward Trio are a band looking to draw some lines between the folk musics of the UK and a diverse range of other sources, from pop through to free improvisation. With this band, fiddle player Imogen Bose-Ward (Balter, Big Pink Yacht), harpist Ada Francis (Luna Blu, Italic Quintet) and percussionist WIll Hammond (Ceitidh Mac, Superfolkus) hope to bring new perspectives to traditional material as well as their own compositions, and are excited to draw from and contribute to the progression of this tradition.
