Bursting onto the music scene in September 2018, Shakk embarked on a musical journey that would see him achieve remarkable milestones. From sold-out EP launch nights to gracing the stage at iconic venues like the O2 Academy, his dedication to his craft was undeniable. Influential figures like Bobby Friction from BBC Asian Network recognized his talent, and Shakk's artistry was honoured with the title of Ride Music Artist of the Year.
However, Shakk's story is more than just a personal triumph. He's been a passionate advocate for his local music scene, tirelessly working to elevate its status and spotlight the talents of the North East. His commitment to his roots runs deep, and it's been a driving force behind his achievements.
In a heart-warming turn of events, Shakk now finds himself at the forefront of BBC Introducing North East, the very platform that initially propelled his own musical journey. As a presenter for this influential program, he is dedicated to nurturing and championing emerging talents from his region, just as he once was.
Today, Shakk continues to champion his beloved North East music scene. His captivating live performances, powerful song writing, and diverse musical range have garnered him a growing fanbase since his debut single. While he now wears the hat of a BBC Introducing North East presenter, Shakk's essence remains firmly rooted in his identity as a dedicated and passionate musician, with a remarkable journey that inspires both on and off the stage.
