Washington: 30 years and counting

Photo and Memory Submissions

Alphabetti Theatre bring our latest production, Trolley Boy, to the North East this July, a play about superheroes, grief and shopping trolleys... Written by David Raynor and set in Washington, Tyne and Wear in the early 90s,Trolley Boy is the story of a teenage boy trying to come to terms with loss and is directly inspired by David's own upbringing.

As we are performing the show at Arts Centre Washington and with the play having such a strong Washington feel, longside the production, we are producing a digital exhibition showcasing the town's history over the last 30 years and we need your help! We are asking for people who are from, have lived or are currently based in Washington to submit their photos and memories of the town over the last 30 years, back to when the play is set.

A couple of weeks ago I had a visit from Sam Wonfor from The Journal and this is what she ended up writing about us! Thank you Sam :)

Sketch show author Ali Pritchard will give twist to pub nights

A new theatre company has taken over the running of a long-standing venue. SAM WONFOR puts some toast on and cracks open a tin of Alphabetti Spaghetti.

Review of Teeth in Eggcups

I have only just found this online! But it's a lovely review of Teeth In Eggcups written two months ago! By James Langton. Thank you for taking the time to write it! And sorry it's taken me so long to put it up here!

Alphabetti Spaghetti Theatre – ‘Teeth in Eggcups’ review:

Teeth In Eggcups is something I had heard quite a lot about over the last year or so, but up until tonight I never really knew what it was all about. A sketch-show style comedy from Alphabetti Spaghetti Theatre and its creator Ali Pritchard, I walked into the Dog and Parrot for the second night of their new show with an open mind. I knew nothing about what was going to take place over the next hour or so, but was hoping to at least find it funny. All I can say is that I was not disappointed.

One Brings Two!

After months of trying to get press to write something about us which is longer than a tweet we have had two articles in one month!

This time we have a lovely 752 word article (yes we were sad enough to count, it’s exciting!) in the free monthly publication called NARC.

Alphabetti at the Fringe

We have been officially introduced to the media! Woo Hoo!

We’ve been flirting with them for a while we had a cheeky mention in the independent when we were at Edinburgh - http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/comedy/features/dating-with-a-dramatic-twist-how-to-find-love-on-the-fringe-8010204.html and we had lovely quotes from Waffle TV and one BBC radio producer.
