Auditions: Walter and The Trench Experience

Alphabetti Theatre in partnership with The Worriers and Discovery Museum are casting for our upcoming production of Walter by Steve Byron & The Trench Experience (working title) created by Gary Kitching, with support from Arts Council England and Heritage Lottery Fund.

This double bill of work is inspired by Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums exhibition - 'Charge!' at the Discovery Museum.

The Female Gaze

The Female Gaze Magazine in partnership with Alphabetti Theatre are looking for 2 women actors to take part in a week of research and development from Monday 9th-Saturday 14th July.

The Female Gaze is a play currently consisting of 10 monologues written by North East women writers which each look at a different woman who has directed, written for, acted in, or written about film from the late 1800s until today. The week of R&D will enable a selection of the monologues to be worked on by director, Karen Traynor, and writer Sarah Gonnet, so that Sarah can then create a script for a full scale production in 2019.

The Worriers in partnership with Alphabetti Theatre are casting (two male and two female actors) for our upcoming productions Walter by Steve Byron & Wilfred by Gary Kitching.

Alphabetti Theatre is casting (one male and one female actor) for our upcoming production ‘How Did We Get To This Point?’.

In 2014 we sold-out Live Theatre’s studio with a run the show’s sister production: ‘How Did I Get To This Point?’ In December 2016 we are bringing the next piece in this saga to our own venue.

Audition - one male (unpaid)

Bows

Alphabetti are looking for one male for a short 10 minute play which will be performed on Saturday 30th January 2016 alongside other acts as part of popular variety night - Alphabetti Soup.

The play is by new writer Hannah Sowerby called - Make, Believe and will be directed by Alphabetti's Artistic Director - Ali Pritchard. As this is a small unfunded project there is no fee but Alphabetti are able to cover travel expenses for the chosen actor of up to £25.

Edinburgh Preview Opportunities for artists and companies

Alphabetti still have a few slots left in July to program previews for the 2015 Edinburgh fringe. So if you've got a show get in touch! It's a open call across all art forms. Applications must be made by 1st June 2015, 10am.

The Frights - 2 Male, 1 Female (paid)

Alphabetti are looking for two males and one female for their upcoming project – The Frights written by Louise Taylor and directed by Ali Pritchard. Auditions are being held at Space Six in Newcastle on Monday 5th January from 4pm with slots lasting roughly 10 minutes.
